NO RESOLUTIONS REQUIRED
Don’t waste your time making new resolutions. It is insanity to do the same thing over and over again and get the same result. Did you actually think and believe that God was waiting to bless you when you become a good boy? If He did that then none of us would qualify for the fullness of His blessings.
We need to realize that God released and contained all His blessings in Jesus. When Jesus lived our lives and pleased the Father, He inherited all for us. He didn’t need any of the father’s blessings. He is sufficient by Himself.
It is too late to be good for God to bless you. You have been given his righteousness, which qualifies you for every kind of blessing. As Paul told the church in Ephesus
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” – Ephesians 1:3
As we enter this new year realise that God has already provided the resources in Christ. Now you are complete in Him. This positions you to carry the blessing and blessedness into any area and wherever you go. This new year is another opportunity to express and manifest Sonship.
In this season, many shallow resolutions will be made by people hoping to drop those extra weight gained from the festivities, stop drinking, or write their first book, release a song, etc. Nearly just as many of those resolutions will be broken in short order. People often have good intentions, but very little resolve to see these things through.
When Jesus walked the earth, He was the Word that “dwelt among us” (John 1:14). When our beginning is set and established in Christ, it causes us to behold His glory, “as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth”. Allow Christ, who is grace and truth to establish you and to lead you into paths of righteousness all throughout this year.
Open yourself to his grace that pronounces you already pleased and accepted in the Father. Live in this mentality and you will goodness and mercy hunt you from January to December.
Make just one decision: To know Him crucified and nothing else. Let him establish you in His love. Grace to you.
