FRESH GRACE EVERY DAY

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. – Matthew 6:34

You could be concerned about a big business deal that you have to close tomorrow, or worried about a job interview you are about to take or even a marriage that is just days ahead.

God does not want you to worry about tomorrow. He wants you to know that He gives you all the help you need for today, and when tomorrow comes, so will fresh help from Him. He is always a present help. I remember a hmyn we used to sing those days titled “O God our help in ages past”. Thank God we know better for such a song is embalmed in doubt and ignorance.

In the Old Testament we see this principle by God at work. When the children of Israel were in the desert, God gave them fresh manna from heaven every morning. (Exodus 16:13–16, 31) They did not have to worry about tomorrow because when tomorrow came, there was fresh manna again. He was their provision every day. The Dew laid the platform for the manna to rest.

Today, God’s manna is the grace He gives you every day. If you are worried about a situation tomorrow, know that there will be sufficient grace for that situation when it comes. God wants you to simply rest in His ability to heal, deliver, protect and provide for you every day.

Dearest, when you see a problem threatening in your tomorrow, don’t be afraid or dismayed. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and see His grace and salvation deliver you. God’s provision is in Jesus and Christ is in you, the hope of glory.

God wants you to live a stress-free life, not one filled with worries about tomorrow’s problems. Trust me, you were not created to handle stress. When tomorrow comes, His grace will be there for you as your help, protection, favor and enabling!

We have been given The First Born Blessing which is the dew of heaven in Christ Jesus. God wants you to prioritize the dew of heaven (His favour) first. It’s not that He doesn’t want you to have the fatness of the earth. He’s saying, prioritize His unmerited favour in your life, and fatness of the earth will follow!
